Start With The End In Mind

Setting The Stage

  • Review goals.
  • Set up counter top displays and in-store advertising.
  • Create social media event.
  • Send out first post.
  • Prepare text-able version of invitation. 
  • Update your website with banners and event notification.
  • Send out first e-blast.
  • Discuss calling personal clients.
  • Download Phone Script.
  • Role play with phone script.
  • Begin calling clients.
  • Discuss opportunities to build traffic.
  • Begin product knowledge. Research a gem type and present it to the group. For every feature include a benefit.

Week 3

Getting The Most Out Of Your Effort.

  • Watch video to the right.
  • Discuss how to integrate the 4 keys of success, into your event marketing plan.
  • Report on what is working so far and what needs to be improved.
  • Prepare mailing list for invitations along with address labels etc. 
  • Download second phone script and practice role play. (Download Phone script #2.)
  • Plan refreshments. (See the fun food and drinks images below for examples).
  • Product Knowledge training. Research a gem type and present it to the group. For every feature include a benefit.

Week 2

Ramping Up The Effort.

  • Watch video to the left.
  • Review attendance goals and plan, if necessary, how to close the gap on how to reach the 50-60 client attendance target.
  • Mail out tri-fold invitations.
  • Discuss strategy for making the next round of phone calls, using the phone script provided.
  • Brainstorm ways to reach clients who have been thus far difficult to reach.
  • Download second phone script #2 and practice role play. Download Here
  • Change voice mail on store phone to announce event.
  • Place additional in-store/outdoor event signage.
  • Increase frequency of social media posts, including video.
  • Product knowledge. Research a gem type and present it to the group. (When you present special features of the gem, include an equal number of benefits as well as examples of how you would close the sale).

Week 1

The Final Stretch.

  • Watch video to the right.
  • Discuss final strategy for increasing attendance.
  • Review phone script and phone call success. Discuss what is working and what needs improvement. Intensify action.
  • Designate one or two evenings before the event for a phone call and text party/competition. Bring in dinner and have the team make calls together. Give out prizes and make it fun.
  • Brainstorm ways to reach clients who have been thus far difficult to reach.

  • Make final arrangements for refreshments.
  • Plan event security protocol.
  • Prepare location in the store for the inventory. Note: This is a very large gemstone display that will take up about 40 linear feet of showcase space.
  • Arrange arrival time and set up procedure with Artinian Gems.
  • Communicate special client requests with Artinian Gems.
  • Final product knowledge session.

2 Days Prior

Last Minute Reminders

  • Watch video to the right.
  • Final client reminder. This is done tactfully and in a manner that will make your client appreciate you for being thoughtful of them. 

The Day Of Your Event

It's Party Time.

  • Make sure every client has been confirmed. Call and or text final reminders.
  • Prepare refreshments.
  • Set out tweezers, jewelry pads and polishing cloths on the cases where the gems are being displayed.
  • Set up enter-to-win box (if applicable).
  • Set out large bowl for Artinian Gems special discount items.
  • Empty cases for gems.
  • Discuss how sales will be written up.

  • Place yourself and your team in a peak mental state, one that will empower you to present gemstones effectively and to close sales.
